"We cannot afford too many draws as last season proved and whilst the table looks promising today, with our forthcoming fixtures all against teams we should be beating (but potential slip ups) we need to be focused.

Quotes of the week
Hymy Fisher is pleased that Liverpool's failure to pick up three points at home hasn't hampered their title shot.
What a weird weekend of football! Man City tonked Arsenal, OK not so strange in light of what's happening at the Emirates currently, but none of the top four managed so much as a goal between them.
I was cursing my team for wasting the opportunity of three home points against Fulham after their toothless display, but was somewhat comforted by the fact that all the teams around us seemed to have suffered a similar fate.
As it is, nothing at the top really changed except Villa now appear to be the threat for fourth place rather than Arsenal. That is one race I hope Liverpool do not become entangled in as we continue to push for that elusive Premiership title.
We cannot afford too many draws as last season proved and whilst the table looks promising today, with our forthcoming fixtures all against teams we should be beating (but potential slip ups) we need to be focused and Rafa needs to have his best team out performing to the best of their abilities in each and every game. I don't want to hear him talking about chances, I want to hear him talking about goals!
My outlook is still obviously positive and the title is certainly a marathon not a sprint. Let's just hope we are still in the running come the turn of the year. Maybe then we can start to really believe the wait will be over. In the meantime, as Rafa always says, take one game at a time and don't look too far ahead.
My last FanZone duel was the recent win at Bolton, a game in which we played some lovely football and showed a greater desire to win. It was the usual battle of bubble-chatting baloney in the booth as Phil Heyes did his best to wind up both me and half of Liverpool! All great fun and in the spirit it's meant, of course, and the black out you experienced watching FanZone towards the end was NOT the result of a punch up - honest!
We initiated a campaign of 'Disrespect the Ref' during the match and it was pleasing to see plenty of texts of support coming through. Phil, the brainchild of the campaign, was keen to encourage plenty of 'dissing' for refs to come, something I joined in with amusement. Should any of you wish to start a blog on the FanZone Forum on the matter I would be happy to support you and promote your ideas - as long as they are legal of course!
With FanZone going onto another level these days, the visual commentary is back and so commentators are whipping their shirts off left, right and centre in celebration of their teams goals. There's also been rapping and marriage proposals via the texting service - it certainly has been an entertaining season so far.
I can't wait for my next opportunity and may have something a little special up my sleeve for when the moment comes...
Stay tuned and any special requests for my next appearance, please mention them in the Forum section and I promise to give all my full consideration.
Oh, one final comment; don't believe a word Briggs (Man U) says!
OK, I did get separate taxi and yes I was delivered to the wrong terminal and so missed my flight after the 2-1 win over United. What he neglects to mention is that I went in a separate taxi by choice. He wanted to leave the studio immediately after the game. I could swear there were tears in his eyes and he was in a right miserable mood! I fancied staying behind, watching the replays and listening to the after-match comments. After all, that win had been a long time coming.
It hurt so much Darren still goes on about it now. He knows United are so close to Liverpool's title haul but that's as far as you're getting mate, another decade of dominance for the Reds (of Liverpool) could be on its way!
